Men's Soccer loses road contest to Beaver 5-2

Following a tightly contested first half in which Penn State Beaver took a 1-0 advantage into the half, Penn State Beaver pulled away from Mont Alto with four second half goals as Mont Alto fell 5-2.

 

Joe Saldivar got Beaver on the board midway in the first half on an unassisted tally in the 26th minute.

 

Mont Alto would come out quick to start the second half behind goals from Devin Wynkoop and Adriel DeJesus as Mont Alto took a 2-1 lead at the 56th minute mark.

 

Beaver would go on a 4-0 run after ten minutes of scoreless play and tied the game on a goal from Robert Chauvenne in the 64th minute. Ethan Paxton (74'), Andy Baltodano (77') and Joseph Liddle (89') added the insurance goals for Beaver as they went on to win 5-2.

 

Devin Wynkoop led the Mont Alto offense with one goal and one assist to go along with two shots on goal. Mont Alto was outshot 16-6 on target in the game.

 

Zach Stum started in goal for Mont Alto and recorded 11 saves on 16 shot attempts.
