Fayette closes out series with Beaver in a big way

Lemont Furnace, PA- Fayette closes out the series with Beaver 3-1 with a big finish at home.

Fayette closed out their four game series with Beaver in a big way last night. At the beginning of the game, in the second inning it looked like the series was going to split when Beaver had an early lead of 4-2, but Fayette battled back in the bottom of the second with a 5-4 jump in runs. Beaver once agains jumped out in front at the top of the third with a 7-5 lead, however thats all Fayette needed to light their fire, making it 11-7 in the bottom of the fourth. Fayette finished strong with a final score of 17-9.

Head Coach Ryan Encapera spoke about the exciting battle, "We carried over our offensive approach into game 2 and were able to execute with runners in scoring position. Burns finished off a great day with a homerun and a triple and 3 RBI. Was pleaded to see Burns and some other make some adjustments and bounce back from recent struggles at the plate to carry us today. Our pitching wasn't pretty but they got the job done. Gaynor was credited with the win but AJ and Despot shut them down with some solid relief pitching to finish the sweep."

Fayette will go on the road and play Dubois Saturday away in a double header.
