Beaver Wrestlers Drop PSUAC Opener

DuBois, PA-  The Penn State Beaver wrestling team traveled to Penn State DuBois on Tuesday to open their PSUAC season.

Due to injuries, Beaver only wrestled at four of the 11 weight classes.  At heavy weight, Penn State Student-athlete of the week, Wessley Mummert (Red Lion/York, PA) won the lone class for Beaver.  Sophomore Tiaro Maas (West Allegheny/Imperial, PA) lost in a hard fought match, only trailing by 1 late. 

Next up for the wrestlers, Penn State Fayette.  Fayette will come to Beaver on Saturday, December 3rd, for a 7 p.m. match.  This will be Beaver's first ever home wrestling match.
