Mont Alto, PA - The Lady Lions traveled to take on PSAUC competitor, Penn State Mont Alto today in hopes of keeping their first place West Division title. After 4 hard fought quarters the Lady Lions were successful in their battle and brought home the win. Leading an impressive 20-7 after the first the Women's Basketball team really had their foot on the gas. Beaver outscored Mont Alto again in the 3rd quarter, scoring 26-10, and finishing the game off with a final score of 67-45.
Leading the way for Beaver was Sophomore, Kiera Baker (Houston, TX), who scored an impressive 21 points, had 8 rebounds, and 1 block. Another game changer for Beaver was Freshman, Makitah Logan (Pittsburgh, PA) who scored 13 points, had 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Junior, Kyra Seggeswiss (Calgary Alberta, Canada) scored 11 points qith 6 rebounds, and Sophomore, McKenzie McIntosh (Uniontown, WA) had 7 steals, and 3 rebounds, both helping secure a great team win for Beaver. Every team member that touched the floor scored for Beaver!
The team is now 15-2 overarall, and 10-2 in conference. They will return to the Beaver Fieldhouse on Tuesday, Jan. 31st at 6pm to take on Penn State Shenango. Come out and support and take part in this year's 3's for THON event hosted by the PSUAC SAAC and our Varsity Club! Stay for the Men's game as well to partake in all the action!
