Lady Lions finish season in Overtime game against University of Maine Augusta - 62-59
The Lady Lions had a tough season but ended in a overtime game finalizing their 20-9 record.
Richmond, VA - The Lady Lions season came to a end tonight in an overtime game against the University of Maine - Augusta with a score of 62-59. The ladies had a hard fought season and but everything they had into their final game of the season. With the finalization of this game, the ladies finished the season 20-9 overall and 14-5 in the conference. Being the defending National Champions and current PSUAC champions the Lions had a lot of prove. They overcame a lot this season and worked well together to get to where they ended. Please congratulate the team on their whirlwind of a season and their hard fight at the National tournament.
This game had a lot of ups and downs but an overtime game is always exciting. Leading the team was senior, Jimya Chambers who scored 19 points for Beaver and pulled down 8 rebounds. Seniors, Alexis Cross and Mikayla Womer both scored 9 points. Sophomore, Aaliyah Booker came in with little time left in the game but hit a 3-pointer to send it into overtime for Beaver, keeping their season alive a little longer. The team played well together all season and especially showed it in this final game.
