Beaver Drops a Close Game against Penn State Hazelton 55-57
Penn State Beaver traveled to Penn State Hazleton on Friday evening.
Hazleton- The Lady Lions fought hard after being down in the first quarter, coming back with a lead in the second, tying in the third, and barely leading the fourth. Beaver played well but couldn't seem to get the lead they needed to win, after the tough first quarter. Even without the win tonight, there are plenty of notable players for Beaver.
Leading for the Lady Lions was Alexis Cross who had 14 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 6 blocks. Next, senior, Jimya Chambers had 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals, to get Beaver closer to a win tonight. Caitlyn O'Hara had 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal for Beaver. Emily Keener had 3 points and 1 steal in tonights PSUAC match up. Arbri Gillis, is the next notable player with 9 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assists, 6 steals, and 2 blocks. Next up is, Mikayla Womer had 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal. Then, Kiera Baker who had 3 points and 2 blocks. Freshman, Kyra Seggewiss had 4 points and sophomore, Emerson Tooch had 6 points, 1 steals, and 1 block.
The Penn State Beaver Women's overall record is 2-2, and 1-1 in conference play this season so far . The ladies will return with anther game on Saturday, Novermber 20th against Penn State Schuylkill, playing on the road at 1pm.
