Autumn Fischer scored a team-leading 14 points in a PSUAC loss to Penn State Beaver on Saturday afternoon during Penn State Mont Alto's 3's for THON home game. Beaver's Kiera Baker scored 21 points for the visitors.
Penn State Beaver opened the game on a 10-0 run in the games first seven minutes behind four points from Kyra Seggewiss. Mont Alto's first points of the game would come at the 3:44 mark of the first quarter on a Kyah Rucker jump shot.
Penn State Beaver shot 9 of 20 in the first quarter (45%) to take a 20-7 lead. Mont Alto fought back in the second quarter behind six points from Fischer and four each from Shanez Morales and Meagan Smith as they trailed 33-26 at the half.
The opposition seperated themselves in the third quarter, outscoring Mont Alto 26-10 behind 12 points from Baker. Fischer would record her second straight quarter with six points in the third. Penn State Beaver shot 69% in the third quarter and committed 11 turnovers while forcing seven Mont Alto turnovers.
Penn State Mont Alto outscored Penn State Beaver 11-8 in a low scoring fourth quarter as each team failed to shoot above 30% in the final ten minutes of play.
