Brandywine Edges Beaver 2-0; Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

MONACA, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine women's soccer team won its third consecutive conference game via 2-0 shutout as the Lions edged Penn State Beaver on Saturday afternoon.

Brandywine got all the scoring it would need during the first 15 minutes of the match.

Hope Priemon (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) delivered the game's opening marker at the 4:11 mark. Just over 10 minutes later, Gia Cetroni (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) doubled the margin to 2-0.

The Lions put 18 more shots on goal during the match, but two Beaver goalkeepers combined for 18 saves to prevent further damage.

Brandywine net minder Demareste Dorvilma (Carteret, N.J./Carteret) made four saves during 90 minutes in net. Three of those stops came during the final eight minutes as Beaver made a final push, but Dorvilma was up to the task each time. She recorded her third-straight shutout and fourth of the season.

Brandywine (5-6, 3-1 PSUAC) can clinch the No. 2 seed in the PSUAC Tournament and a home semifinal game with a victory Thursday at Penn State Schuylkill (4:00 PM).
