KSU Tuscarawas Sweeps Day 1 of the USCAA Tip-Off Tournament

Kent State Tuscarawas started the season off at the USCAA Vollyeball Tip-Off Tournament held at Penn State Beaver campus, with a sweep of two first-round matches.

The Golden Eagles jump started their season going 2-0 on Day 1 of the tournament. In their first contest of the season, Kent State Tuscarawas beat Penn State Beaver, 3-0 (25-7, 25-7, 25-13). Rylee Sensabaugh had 8 kills, Cayla Shrimplin had 10 digs, Ava McFarland had 7 assists.

In the second contest of the day, Kent State Tuscarawas beat Penn State New Kensington, 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-12). Jaileigh Price had 9 kills, Cayla Shrimplin had 11 digs, Rylee Sensabaugh had 14 assists.

Kent State Tuscarawas is set to play Day 2 of the USCAA Tip-Off tournament, on Saturday in a 4:00PM match against Johnson & Wales from Charlotte, NC. If victorious, the Golden Eagles would move onto the USCAA Volleyball Tip-Off Championship match at 6:00 PM.
