George Bellinger enters his first season as Head Volleyball Coach at Penn State Beaver, bringing more than 35 years of coaching experience at the high school, club, and collegiate levels.
Throughout his distinguished career, Bellinger has led both men's and women's volleyball programs at several local high schools while also serving as a club director and owner for more than 25 years with organizations including Zero Tolerance Volleyball Club and Club Hollywood PA. His extensive experience developing athletes and building successful programs has earned him a respected reputation throughout the volleyball community.
Prior to joining Penn State Beaver, Bellinger served as Head Volleyball Coach at the Community College of Beaver County, where he continued his commitment to student-athlete development and competitive excellence.
In addition to coaching, Bellinger has worked as an official for the PIAA, USA Volleyball, and the NCAA, providing him with a unique perspective and comprehensive understanding of the sport at every level of competition.
Bellinger earned a bachelor's degree in Social Science with a concentration in Education and a minor in Sports Management from Ashford University before completing a master's degree in Counseling from Geneva College. He currently serves as a high school counselor at Aliquippa Jr./Sr. High School, where he helps students navigate their academic and career goals.
Known for his dedication to mentorship and leadership development, Bellinger is committed to creating a culture of hard work, accountability, teamwork, and personal growth while building a competitive volleyball program at Penn State Beaver.
A resident of Ambridge, Pennsylvania, Bellinger is the proud father of three children and grandfather of two grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and his two dogs, Leroy and Missy.
