Lady Lions fall short to Mont Alto 66-52
Beaver take tough loss in first game of away trip
Mont Alto, PA- The Lady Lions took on Penn State Mont Alto for their first of a two game road trip. Starting the game off, Beaver couldn't seem to find a groove to get things rolling, not scoring their first 2 points until 3 minutes and 13 seconds into the first quarter, losing the quarter 18-11. The game continued to not go in the Lady Lions' favor in the second quarter only scoring 6 points. The score going into halftime was 39-17. Despite the margin, the Lady Lions came out in the second half fighting hard by putting up 20 points in the third quarter bringing the score to 55-37. The struggle seemed to continue for Beaver as the game finished out 66-52.
Senior Jimya Chambers had 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist. Senior Alexis Cross has 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist. Freshman Kiera Baker had 8 points and 3 rebounds. Sophomore Arbri Gillis had 7 points, 1 rebound, and 3 assists.
