Lady Lions lose in Overtime against Penn State Schuylkill 58-63
Beaver traveled to Schuylkill on Saturday evening and fought until overtime.
Schuylkill- Penn State Beaver trailed behind Schuylkill for three quarters until the 4th quarter where they led 21-6 which brought them back, tying the game 55-55. With an amazing 4th quarter Beaver had the momentum going into overtime. In the final 5 minutes of overtime, Beaver was only able to score 3 points, while Schuylkill scored 8. In another tough PSUAC match-up for the Lady Lions, they fell short in a hard fight.
Three players for Beaver score 11 points tonight, Jimya Chambers, Alexis Cross, and Kyra Seggewiss. While two more, Caitlyn O'Hara and Arbri Gillis both had 5 points. Some outstanding seniors, Emily Keener had 6 points and 7 rebounds, while Mikayla Womer had 2 points and 3 rebounds. Kiera Baker had 4 points and 3 rebounds to help Beaver push through to force and overtime. While Emerson Tooch had 3 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 blocks, rounding out the line for Beaver tonight.
The Lady Lions overall record for the game stands at 2-3 and 1-2 in the conference through a grueling road-trip start to the season.
