Beaver Loses to Davis and Elkins on the Road
Elkins, WV -- Beaver trounced by Davis and Elkins, 121-53.
In the first quarter, Beaver started off strong, jumping out to a 4-3 lead in the first three minutes of the game. But then the high scoring offernse of the Senators became too much to handle as they went on a 10 point run to break the game open. By the end of the quarter, Beaver found themselves down 28-14 after Davis and Elkins made 5 3-point shots in the open 10 minutes of the game.
In the second, Davis and Elkins opened on a 12-point run to take a 45-14 lead with 6:10 to play in the half and Beaver trailed by 46 (71-25) at halftime.
Beaver's struggles continued into the second half as Davis and Elkins continued to fire from the 3-point arc hitting 7 of 17 in the second half alone and shooting almost 48% overall.
The Lady Lions fell by a final score of 121-53. Despite the loss, the game provided valuable experience for the young group that they can build on going into their tip-off tournament this weekend.
Leading the scoring efforts were Diamond Thomas with 12 points and Brittany Jackson who had 10 points.
The Ladies return to action on Saturday, November 18th as they host their annual Tip-Off Tournament.
