Women's basketball defeats Du Bois
Beaver wins, 99-69
Du Bois, PA- Penn State Beaver women's basketball continued their winning streak in the conference against Penn State Du Bois.
In the first half, Beaver's Khalia Adams (Washington, DC / Phelps) would score within minutes giving Beaver an early lead. Beaver would use that momentum to their advantage by distancing themselves by 20 points at the end of the half. Adams, Kelsey Brooks (Pittsburgh, PA / Carrick) and Sydnee Abernathy (Pittsburgh, PA / Allderdice) led the team on offense. Beaver ended the half with a score of 56-34.
Du Bois came out shooting in the start of the second half but that was no match for Beaver who answered their every point. Beaver continued to distance themselves and won the game when Kalynn Hill (Pittsburgh, PA/Montour) shot a free throw with no time left on the clock. Beaver's Cassandra Flowers (Pittsburgh, PA / Westinghouse) led the team on offense scoring 14 points. Beaver won the game 99-69.
Beaver faces off against Point Park next on Wednesday January 22nd, at 7:00 p.m.
