Assistant Coach Al DeSalvo is in his ninth season with the Lady Lions where he works with the infielders and coaches first base.

DeSalvo is no stranger to the college coaching ranks. From 1989-1997 he was head baseball coach for the Hawks at Roger Williams University, Bristol, RI. During his time there, the Hawks upset Big East powerhouse Providence College (Providence, RI). DeSalvo also spent a year as an assistant for the baseball team at Roger Williams University (Bristol, RI) prior to becoming the head coach.

His extensive coaching experience has included middle school boys' baseball teams and middle school girls' softball teams, and he was selected to coach baseball at the Rhode Island Scholar Athlete Games.

In addition to helping with the softball program, DeSalvo also is an assistant coach for the women's basketball team.
