Terriers Trounce Lions, Cruise to 11-0 Victory
Hiram Scores Early; Beaver Drop Away Contest

Garrettsville, OH - The Penn State Beaver Men's Soccer Team (1-4, 1-0 PSUAC) dropped a non-conference tilt against the Terriers of Hiram College (3-0-1), 11-0.
Hiram dominated from the onset, scoring three goals in the first nine minutes of the game. Keeper Cody Killmeyer had a tough day in the net, allowing nine first half goals on 27 shots, while stopping nine Terrier shots.
Killmeyer deferred to sophomore Brad Prinkey (Freedom/Freedom, PA) who then allowed just two goals in 41 minutes of play. Prinkey made eight saves.
Beaver was outshot 38-2 during the contest. Senior Patrick Vaughan (Seton-LaSalle/Pittsburgh, PA) and freshman Mahmoud Helal (Choueifat-Egypt/Cairo, Egypt) recorded the only shots on net for the Lions.
Head Coach Dan Grant noted that "we had a tough day, but are focused on our PSUAC match against Brandywine."
Beaver will look to win its first PSUAC road game of the year when they face PSUAC rival Penn State Brandywine (Media, PA) on Saturday, September 17 at 1 p.m.
