Brian Bibey is entering his sixth year as the Head Coach for the Penn State Beaver Men’s Basketball Team.

The 2022-23 season wrapped up in February with a record of 8-18 overall and 7-12 in conference. Coach Bibey helped his team put up some hard fights though it was not enough. The Lions will have to wait to make a run for it next season.

After the COVID-19 pandemic season, the Lions returned to the court to play the 2021-22 season. Coach Bibey and his team went 17-10 overall and 13-6 in confernce playing in the PSUAC playoffs just merely missing the national tournament.

Due to COVID-19, the Penn State Beaver Men's Basketball  2020-2021 season was cancelled.

Prior to COVID-19, the Nittany Lions have enjoyed success in back-to-back seasons as they have appeared in the PSUAC Tournament on both occasions. Penn State Beaver finished the 2019-2020 season with a 13-13 overall mark and a 10-9 record in league play.

In 2018-2019 the Nittany Lions finished up with a record of 16-10 overall and 12-7 in league play.

Known as a defensive minded coach, Bibey’s 2018-2019 squad surrendered just 63.5 points per game which was the best mark in the country at the USCAA Division 2 level. The 2019-2020 team gave up 66.8 points per game which was fifth best nationally.

Bibey brought over 10 years of college coaching experience with him to Beaver as he previously served as Head Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville as well as Assistant Coach at Saint Vincent College, Mount Union College and Washington & Jefferson College.

A 1998 graduate of Carlynton High School and a 2002 graduate of Robert Morris University, Bibey holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a field concentration in sport management.
