Tough Loss for Beaver on the Road Against Mont Alto
Mont Alto, PA - Beaver's roadtrip does not bring home a victory this weekend for the Men's Basketball team. The Men's team traveled to Penn State Mont Alto and played a tough game against a good PSAUC competitor. After a rocky first half, being out scored 35-28, the Men were able to come back out and fight again. Though the team outscored their opponents in the 2nd half it was not enough to make up for the defict left after the first. With the final score leaning in favor to Mont Alto, the men were left with a score of 62-51.
Senior, Devon Johnson (Washington, DC), led the way for Beaver once again this season, scoring 15 points, bringing down 5 reounds, having 3 assists, and getting 3 steals. Both Senior, Tre Johnson (Dayton, OH) and Sophomore, Chris Green (Washington, DC) both scored 11 points for Beaver as well as having 2 rebounds each. Senior, Izaiah Dickerson (Washington, DC) had 8 points and 8 rebounds, and Senior, Alexander Avery (Stafford, VA) scored the final 6 points.
Overall the team is 3-16, and 2-10 in conference play. The team will return to the Beaver Fieldhouse on Tuesday, January 31st at 8pm to take on Penn State Shenango. Come out and support the team and take part in all the activities being host for 3's for THON!
