Beaver Starts Season 2-0 With Win Over Pitt-Titusville

The Penn State Beaver basketball team took on Pitt-Titusville, winning by a final score of 110-75.
The Penn State Beaver basketball team squared off against Pitt-Titusville for their second matchup of the season. After winning their first game of the season in a great showing against Kent State Tuscarawas, the Beaver men looked to continue their success against Pitt-Titusville proving that they are the real deal this year.
The game started off well for both teams as the first 10 minutes of play showed that both sides came prepared to play. As the half went on Beaver began to pick up some momentum as well as the lead. As the game went on the pace of play really picked up and turnovers really became key in taking the lead early on. Capitalizing on their opportunities, Beaver began to pull away with a growing lead and ended the first half with a 63-45 lead. The second half was more of the same for both teams, as Beaver continued to shoot well througout the half and capitalize on the opportunities that they had to put points on the board. Beaver was also able to stay fresh throughout this half as well, showing just how much talent and depth they have on their roster this season as the team scored 48 points off of the bench. Beaver ended up coasting to a comfortable victory by the end of this game with a final score of 110-75.
Beaver played very well in their second game of the season, beating Pitt-Titusville by 35 points to improve their record to 2-0 on the year. Beaver showed that they are here to compete this season as they have the talent and the depth to wins games by big margins as the season progresses. The team was led in this game by Junior Eric Gallupe, who scored a team high 22 points while making 5 three's throughout the game. Beaver also had a standout performance from Freshman Dimetres Moore, who scored 18 points and had 11 rebounds, giving him two double-doubles in two games this season. The team will return to action on Wednesday, November 16, as they travel to Grove City for a tough road matchup. Game time is set for 7 pm.
