Beaver started off slow going down 4-0 in the first game but the bats came alive scoring 14 runs in the third and fourth innings winning the game 14-4 in five innings.
Junior Jake Debo (New Brighton, PA/New Brighton) led the offense with two home runs and six rbis. Senior Tyler Thellman (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) and Sophomore Matt Capo (Moon Twp., PA/Moon) both had three hits on the day.
Senior Matt Sweikowski (Zelienople, PA/Senaca Valley) picked up the win throwing the complete game.
The second game was mainly all Hazleton as they led 3-4 most of the game until the seventh inning when Beaver scored seven runs to win the game 10-4.
Senior Derek Bozic (Beaver Falls, PA/Beaver Falls), Sophomore Duncan Miklos (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) and Capo all had two hits the second game. Capo had three rbis leading the team.
Junior Nick Casasanta (Moon Twp., PA/Moon) got the win on the pitching mound.
Beaver is back in action Tuesday, April 26th at Penn State Dubois. Game time starts at 6:30 p.m. followed by another at 8:00 p.m.
