Penn State Beaver loose redemption game in conference championship
Mont Alto Pa --- The Penn State Beaver Mens baseball team took the field friday afternoon in hopes of continuing their season. They faced off against division rival Greater Allegheny, this time for all the marbles.
The game started of head to head as both teams were tied even by the top of the 3rd. Nick Cassasant and Derek Bosic both scored a run a piece to put Beaver in a position to compete.
The game continued to stay close as both teams battled hard as their season was ast steak. Tyler Thellman and Alber Araiza scored runs in the top of the 4th, but Greater Allegheny countered with a run of their own and never looked back.
Greater Allegheny went on to outscore Beaver 4-0 giving the a commanding lead all the way until the end of the game.
Though Beaver competed, they still managed to loose the game with a final score of 9-4.
Beaver finished their season 19-16, and 13-6 in conference. Despite their loss Beaver will look to regroup and return back to the conference championship next year!
