Nittany Lions Fall to Rochester College

On Saturday, April 5 the Beaver Nittany Lions baseball team was defeated at home by USCAA rival Rochester College, 6-5.
Beaver fell behind, 5-1, after Rochester put up a four-run fourth. The Lions fought back and scored two in the seventh inning to tie the game, but Rochester scored the winning run.
Sophomore Joe Scherer (Quaker Valley High School) pitched seven innings, gave up eleven hits, walked four, and struck out one. Offensively, senior Jeff Trojan (Rochester High School) hit his second home run of the week. Trojan, sophomore Justin Parasida (Ambridge High School), and freshman Huston Lorenzo (Miami, Fl) each had two hits.
The Lions play again on Sunday, April 6 when they host Apprentice College at 1 p.m.
