WBB ends season with loss to Beaver in playoffs

Monaca, PA- Penn State Fayette women's basketball ends season on a loss to Penn State Beaver in the PSUAC quater finals.

Penn State Fayette traveled to Penn State Beaver on Saturday for a PSUAC quater final matchup. Penn State Beaver was ranked first in the PSUAC West heading into this quarter final game, Penn State Fayette ranked fourth. Despite the underdog feel for the Fayette Lady Lions, the game was neck and neck until the fourth quarter. Fayette had some foul trouble leading into the fourth with McCormick picking up her 5th and Cheathon and Taylor ending the game with 4.

Coach Hillen spoke about the game, "Losing never feels good and out players left it all on the court. It has been a tough season and this never quit. It showed in this game. We had them in a panic and everyone in the gym was on the edge of their seats. We came out and surprised them and gave tremendous effort all game. I am very proud of this team. It was not the ending we wanted but we did not go out without a fight."

Leaders included Taylor McCormick with 13 points, Abby Bickerton with 14 rebounds and Takiah Cheathon with 11 points.
