Lemont Furnace, PA- Women's basketball has a tough loss to PSU Beaver at home.
Fayette women's basketball team came in competitive against PSUAC Playoff seed, Penn State Beaver. Although Fayette never led in any of the four quarters, the game was neck and neck, with a final score of 73-57.
The leading scorers for Fayette were Taylor McCormick with 18 points and Takiah Cheathon with 17 points.
Head Coach Scott Hillen had this to say about the loss,"Last night we fought hard and the ladies left it all on the court. We got in a little foul trouble that affected what we could do. We know we made a few mistakes that hurt us but we also know we are able to beat anyone on our schedule. With 7 minutes to go down 4 there were 4 calls that went against us that created a 8 point swing that put us down 12 with 5 minutes to go."
Fayette will travel to PSU Mont Alto on Saturday to continue PSUAC Conference play at 1:00 P.M.
