Wellness Center Opens!
After months of waiting, the new Wellness Center at Penn State Beaver is open to students, faculty and staff.
After much anticipation, the Wellness Center at Penn State Beaver is finally open. The $3.3 million facility is now ready to be used. Open to students, faculty and staff, the facility is able to accommodate everyone from the fitness guru to someone who has never set foot in gym facility. With a wide variety of cardio machines, free weights and weight lifting machines the facility is designed to be easy to use and the Athletic Department is excited for new gym users to be more prevalent in the building.
Summer hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
In the fall the hours will be posted and will be extended to reach a wide variety of users. In addition to expanded hours, there will be many changes in policy and procedure. Upon entering the building for the first time, users will be asked to sign a user agreement and be asked for their valid Penn State ID card. Patrons will always be required to have their valid ID. While it may seem like a major adjustment, it is all for the better.
In the fall the campus will host an Official Wellness Center Dedication. It is scheduled for Septmeber 6th at 3:30pm. Please join the campus community in celebrating its newest addition to campus.
