Local Grad To Continue Career at Beaver
Alivia Thomas has announced that she will be attending Penn State Beaver to continue her academic and athletic career.
Alivia is a local Beaver County player who comes from New Brighton High School. In her nine years of playing basketball she has also played for AAU organizations Pure Shooters and Ohio Lakers. Alivia's greatest accomplishment is being named MVP of the 2017 Rochester Basketball Tournament.
Outside of basketball Thomas was also a 3-year letterman in softball and she enjoys art and music as well.
Alivia chose to continue her athletic career at Penn State Beaver because she has always wanted to continue playing the game and she felt that she could be successful there.
Academically Penn State Beaver has several things that she is interested in pursuing in her future. "Alivia will be a great addition to our program says Coach Moore. She is one of those girls that can be a matchup problem. She shoots the three well, has a very good handle and a nice post-up game. I am looking forward to the different ways in which we can use her to create mismatch problems."
